housing place<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can reserve a place on an annual or six-monthly basis (first or second semester) &#8211; August is excluded from both types of bookings. The opening dates for the booking procedures for each period are posted by mid-June on the homepage of the Residences website.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The periods available are:<\/span><\/p><p>Annual booking: <strong>26th August 2025 to 31st July 2026<\/strong><br \/>Booking for the first semester:<strong> 26th August 2025 to 13th February 2026<\/strong><br \/>Booking for the second semester: <strong>16th February 2026 to 31st July 2026<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><b>Rules and requirements<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following students may book accommodation:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; students who are enrolled or intend to enrol in a degree course;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; foreign students participating in international mobility programmes;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The requirements for being able to live in a hall of residence are:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; being at least 18 years of age as of the date of check-in; otherwise, the student must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must check in together with the student and must sign the check-in report of the accommodation. The student must also show the consent form for minors signed by the parents and the photocopies of the identity documents;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; not having any outstanding financial debt towards Politecnico di Milano.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; not over 40 years of age at the time of booking.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>N.B<\/strong>: By reserving accommodation in a residence at the Politecnico di Milano, you accept, in acknowledgment, the Regulations, the Charter of Services and the Guide to Reservation of the University Residences that are currently in force.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>How to book<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of the date when booking opens, full-rate housing places can be booked &#8211; until the available places run out &#8211; in accordance with the procedures that are automatically managed by the online booking system available at: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.residenze.polimi.it\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.residenze.polimi.it<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"><strong>ATTENTION &#8211; If you are a student who is not yet enrolled at Politecnico di Milano or if you are waiting for a visa, you can still book an accommodation place. In the event of failure to enroll at Politecnico di Milano or failure to obtain a visa, the amount paid for the accommodation reservation will NOT be refunded.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: inherit; white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><strong><span style=\"font-family: inherit; white-space: pre-wrap;\">In order to book, you must follow these steps:<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; connect the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/polimi-sol.dirittoallostudio.it\/apps\/V3.1\/sol\/public\/\">portal<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span>(please note: if you do not have login details, you must first register on the university\u2019s Online Services portal);<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; check availability, select the Hall of Residence, type of housing place, booking period and payment method, then save your booking;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; make the payment within 24 working hours in order to confirm the booking, otherwise it will be cancelled and the housing place will be on sale again. The p<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ayment must be made via PagoPA, whether it is in instalments or paid as a one-off payment;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; communicate the date and time that you intend to check in, as detailed in the booking guide.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you have completed your booking, it will no longer be possible to change the booking period from annual to six-monthly or vice versa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><strong>N.B<\/strong>: Only full-rate students who are in one of Politecnico residences during the semester which immediately precedes the period they intend to book (i.e., in the residence as of May 31st for 1st semester or annual reservations, and as of December 31st for 2nd semester reservations) will have priority over new students when reserving. Those who participate in an international mobility program during the semester immediately preceding the booking, unlike during previous years, will not be able to access priority booking, but will need to book during the same stage as new guests. The stages in which it is possible to enjoy the right to priority booking are specified in the booking guide.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>Rates, payments and booking confirmation<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guests must pay\u00a0to the Politecnico di Milano the sum of\u00a0\u20ac500\u00a0as a\u00a0security deposit. The rates vary depending on the Hall of Residence and type of accommodation. The amounts set out in the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.residenze.polimi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/tariffario_ING_25_26.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pricing list<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are per person and include &#8211; in addition to the housing place itself &#8211; utilities, the use of common kitchens and all facilities offered in the hall of residence booked, as described in the charter of services included in the documentation for each hall of residence.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the booking process, students can choose one of the following payment options:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; one-off payment: by paying the full amount up front (when choosing this option, a discount will be applied to the fee) and the damage deposit;\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; bimonthly instalments: by paying, at the time of booking, the first of 5 instalments for annual booking or the first of 3 instalments for six-monthly booking (and the damage deposit).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>For both methods, the payment of the amounts is due by and no later than the expiry dates, and must be carried out through the PagoPA platform, following the instructions given <a href=\"http:\/\/www.residenze.polimi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/istruzioni-pagoPA_eng.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">here<\/span>.<\/span><\/a><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will receive a confirmation of your booking after the first payment (whether this is the full amount paid up front or the first instalment, depending on the payment option selected). The student has 24 hours to make this payment from the time when they select their room; failure to do so within this timeframe will result in the booking being cancelled.
