Living in a university Hall of Residence is not merely a form of accommodation: it is an opportunity for socialising, cultural exchange, growing and developing, from both a human perspective and a professional one.
We offer you the opportunity to experience student life to its fullest by staying in one of our halls of residence, distributed across Milan, Lecco and Como.
In Milan, the facilities are incorporated into the urban fabric itself: the campuses are easy to reach thanks to the efficient public transportation network or, in some cases, even on foot; the Adolf Loos Hall of Residence in Lecco, meanwhile, is actually located on campus, and the accommodation in Como is just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre, the railway station and the lake.
Each Hall of Residence differs in terms of the characteristics and types of room available: the presentation sheets will give you all the information you may find useful.

If you are currently a resident in one of our Halls of Residence, you will be able to make a booking during the following periods:
Please note that priority booking access does not automatically guarantee the allocation of a place, as the number of available spaces allocated to each group may vary each year due to organizational requirements.

PhD Accommodation Bookings – Academic Year 2026/2027
PhD students from previous cycles who are already living in our accommodation facilities may confirm their accommodation at the Politecnico di Milano halls of residence from 12:00 (midday) on 20th of July 2026 (Italian time) until 23:59 on 22nd of July 2026.
PLEASE NOTE: PhD students from previous cycles who are not currently living in our accommodation facilities will not be able to book accommodation at the Politecnico di Milano halls of residence.
PhD students winners of the Call for Applications for the 42nd Cycle of the PhD program, with entry in September, will be able to book accommodation in the Halls of residence of the Politecnico di Milano from 27th of July 2026 at 12.00 (Italian time) until 4th of September 2026 at 23.59.

The accommodations in Politecnico di Milano residence halls are bookable through an on-line reservation procedure (except for the students who are intentioned to apply to the DUS call). Every year, the reservation procesures open starting from the month of June. To access the on-line platform of the Housing & Dining Unit, it is necessary to use the credentials (person code and password). If you don’t have them, you’ve to ask for by the accreditation form.
ATTENTION – if you are a student not enrolled at Politecnico di Milano yet or still waiting for the visa, you can book an accommodation. In case of lacking of your enrollment at Politecnico di Milano or for lacking in the obtainment of your Visa, the sum paid to book the accommodation WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
