The new Campus Città di Cremona is located within the former Manfredini Barracks, a complex resulting from continuous stratification from the 1400s to the first half of the 1900s. The project involves the restoration of the oldest building bodies and the new construction of the body intended for teaching. Within the campus, in addition to the spaces intended for teaching, there will be executive offices, auditorium, laboratories, library and student housing.

The Ada Byron residence is located in the former cloister and houses up to 143 beds.

The "byron" hall of residence offers 143beds, divided into single and double rooms and rooms equipped for people qith disabilities. the following are available

  • single rooms with private bathroom;
  • double rooms with private bathroom;
  • single rooms with private bathroom equipped for people with disabilities;
  • equipment for each guest: single bed, bedside table, desk, chair, wardrobe, bookcase, mini-fridge;
  • communal kitchens equipment: american coffee machine, toaster, kettle, citrus juicer, rice/slow cooker, espresso coffee machine, shared refrigerators and freezers;

WHAT IS IT

The Charter of Services is a document with which the Housing & Dining Unit of Politecnico di Milano informs users of the services made available to them within its residences.

 

WHO IS IT FOR

It is for all guests of the residences of Politecnico di Milano.

 

WHAT IS IT FOR

The Charter of Services contains, among other things, the following information:

• contact details of the Director of the structure;

• the list of common areas that can be used within the residence and the methods of access;

• the list of services available to guests and their delivery modes;

• the list of on demand services available in the structure and their methods of request;

• instructions for reporting faults and requests for intervention;

• supplementary and recreational activities organized within the structures and methods of participation/registration.

GUESTHOUSE SERVICE
AT ADA BYRON RESIDENCE

A guesthouse service is available for short stays at the Ada Byron residence. This service is for overnight stays only; guests are not permitted access to the kitchen, gym, or other long-term guest services. Breakfast is not available, nor are meals prepared or consumed on site.

* Rates are valid for stays from August 25, 2026, to July 30, 2027, and are subject to annual ISTAT adjustments. They include: overnight stay, daily room cleaning and tidying, and internet access. Double rooms can be shared by two students of the same gender or by adult couples (e.g., parents/teacher and partner). Only adults are admitted.

CHECK-OUT

By 10:00 a.m. Upon checkout, please:

– Return the keys

– Leave the accommodation in a decent condition

– Collect all your personal belongings

The reception is open 24/7. Early check-in, late check-out, and luggage storage are not available. Personal belongings left at the residence will not be shipped; they will be disposed of.

Booking procedures

The interested person or the person in charge for the entity is invited to send the request to foresteria-adabyron@polimi.it  2 weeks in advance at least, together with the following details: 

Single booking done by Privates

  • Guest's Name and Surname
  • TAX code and VAT code (if possessed)
  • Permanent registered address of residence (Street, House number, Zip code, City, Province, State)
  • Phone number (mobile)
  • Check-in and check-out dates
  • Type of accommodation chosen (in case the person wants to book a double room for 2 guests, write also the other guest’s name and surname and gender)
  • Profile (student/professor/parent..)

booking for groups

  • Events
  • Number of the guests (being aware that the office will ask to send in advance the concerning fully filled in list, with name-surname-email address-mobile phone number of each one)
  • Type of accommodation chosen (attention: the accommodations in double room are assigned according to the guests’ gender, therefore double rooms are not mixed)
  • Check-in and check-out dates
  • Private/Public Entity responsible of the payment and relevant details for the invoicing
  • Person of reference for the group (name – surname – email/mobile phone number)

payment methods

The payment is intended in advance and it is necessary to confirm the accommodation in the requested period. The payment methods will be given togheter with the confirmation of the availability of the required accommodation/s. Once the reservation procedure has been completed, no refund is expected. Possible subsequent extension of the period of stay and/or increments of the already agreed participants’ number are not guaranteed.

Regulations, damages and penalties

Guests in guestroom comply with the Regulations in force (www.residenze.polimi.it/en/regolamento/) and undertake to pay for possible damages and penalties charged on them during the stay or at the check-out. In case of bookings done by an entity, in absence of the payment done by the guest, the service will ask the for the payment to the relevant entity.
