A student who waives their housing after accepting the allocated place will still have the total amount deducted from the scholarship.

The student must pay the preferential rate for the period they used the housing.

An ”off-campus” student is a student who resides in a municipality that can be reached by public transport in more than 90 minutes from where the course is held.

The amount of the housing place deduction is established annually by Regione Lombardia and made public with an addition to the call also on the Politecnico website www.polimi.it

Students awarded a semester’s scholarship who graduate in the first semester and do not intend to continue their studies at Politecnico di Milano must cancel their reservation by the deadline published in the call for applications and they can may only use the allocated housing until the end of the first semester.
Students awarded a semester’s scholarship who do not graduate in the first semester and intend to remain in residence for the second semester will be required to pay the preferential-rate housing according to the manners indicated in the call for applications.

If you are participating in an international mobility programme in the first semester, you must formalise your allocated housing acceptance within 48 hours of receiving the email, as stated in the call.
If you are participating in an international mobility programme in the second semester you must inform the Housing & Dining Unit at least 30 days before your departure, as detailed in the call for applications.

Through the platform on the halls ofresidence website with your login credentials.

Bookings for the ENTIRE YEAR or the FIRST semester open every year after the end of June. Bookings
for the SECOND semester open in January.

The periods that can be booked for the 2023/2024 academic year are as follows:

   – Full academic year, from 28 August 2023 to 31 July 2024;

   – First semester, from 28 August 2023 to 16 February 2024;
   – Second semester, from 19 February 2023 to 31 July 2024.

No. You can consult the list of affiliated companies available on the website.

   – graduation: if you are graduating in December, February, or April;
   – withdrawal from studies;
   – a serious accident or illness affecting the Student;
   – bereavement of a close family member (parents or siblings).

If you stay in a Politecnico residence during the semester preceding the booking period, you have priority over new guests. You will be able to take advantage of this right in the way prescribed in the booking giudelines.

All payments must be made through the pagoPA service using the Visa, MasterCard and Maestro
circuits.

No. You can choose between the one-off payment (discounted) or the instalment payment option
during the booking process.

The instalment payments must be made within the deadlines indicated on the price list.

check-in

Yes, at least seven days before your arrival, through the portal.

Check-in is from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

To check-in, students must come to the Hall of Residence with:
    – for students from the European Union: passport photo, valid identity document;
   – for non-European Union students: passport photo, passport and residence permit, receipt of
application for issue or renewal of said document.

check-out

Yes, at least 15 days before departure, through the portal.

You must check out by 10 am on the appointed day.

You can change your check-out time by agreeing with the residence Manager at least seven days
before your departure.

guests

Each guest is allowed a maximum of two or three visitors, subject to the maximum number of visitors per facility.

You can receive external guests every day from 9 am to midnight.

spaces

In each residence, you will find a launderette, ironing room, study rooms, music room, TV room,
games room, kitchens, relaxation areas and bicycle storage.

There are no car parks for guests inside the residences.

Equipment

Subject to authorisation from the management, small electrical appliances with CE certification and
small furniture items may be brought in if they do not substantially change the space layout.

The residence provide bed linen and towels, although guests may decide to use their own.

The residences do not provide plates, glasses or other kitchen utensils. You can bring them from home before you arrive, although we suggest that you wait until you arrive at the residence and share the purchase or use of the material with your fellow residents.

The residences are staffed 24 hours a day.

The residences have an emergency and evacuation plan in case of fire.

community

Events and activities are organised within the residences.

Some activities may require a token payment.
