Accommodation for students with disabilities

Politecnico di Milano, in its residences located in Milan, Lecco, Como and Cremona, offers accommodation dedicated specifically to students and teaching staff with disabilities, offering them the opportunity to comfortably enjoy their university experience to the fullest in a collective setting that meets their needs.

“Pareto” Hall of Residence, Via Maggianico, 6 – Milan | Place in single room with shared fully-equipped bathroom in apartment

“Newton” Hall of Residence, Via Borsa, 25 – Milan | Place in double room with private fully-equipped bathroom

“Einstein” Hall of Residence, Via Einstein, 6 – Milan | Place in single room with shared fully-equipped bathroom in apartment

“Marie Curie” Hall of Residence, Piazzale Ferrara – Milan | Place in mini-apartment single room with fully-equipped bathroom

Rates

   – Guests entitled to preferential-rate housing (DSU recipients): preferential rate (which is published in an integration to the DSU Call here).

   – Full-rate guests with certified disability ≥ 66%: preferential rate (same as DSU recepients).

   – Caregivers of guests with a certified disability of ≥ 66%: the DSU reduced rate applies if the caregiver stays in the same room.

   – Guests with certified disability percentage between 46% and 65%: full rate discounted by 10%.

   – Guests with certified disability percentage lower than 46%: full rate.

Procedure for requesting accommodation

It is possible to request an accommodation by following the procedure below:

Request submission

To request accommodation, you must send your application to multichance@polimi.it, indicating the type of disability and attaching the relevant medical documentation.

REQUESTS FOR THE FIRST SEMESTER MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE END OF MAY; FOR THE SECOND SEMESTER, BY THE END OF NOVEMBER.

PLEASE NOTE: The Politecnico di Milano guarantees the utmost confidentiality in the relationship managed directly with the guest, with regard to their health status and the handling of the related documentation.

Assessment interview

Once all documentation has been received, the Multichance Service will contact the applicant to schedule an assessment interview and will forward the accommodation request to the Housing & Dining Unit.

AT THIS STAGE, PLEASE INDICATE WHETHER YOU INTEND TO APPLY FOR THE DSU CALL.

Accommodation proposal

The Housing & Dining Unit will assess the most suitable accommodation option and will send the applicant the accommodation offer together with instructions on how to proceed with booking and confirming the room.
