La Presentazione Hall of Residence in Como is an elegant 19th-century historical residence dedicated to welcoming girls in difficulty. Since 2016, after restoration and recovery work by Politecnico di Milano, it has become a university hall of residence. The rooms overlook a beautiful internal cloister, where there is a garden with ornamental plants and an ancient well. The building offers single and double rooms with kitchens on each floor and two-person bright attic flats. On the ground floor are the communal areas, including a study room. The building is occupied by Italian and international students enrolled at Politecnico and from various educational institutions in the Como area.
Although most guests attend University or an academy in Como, rooms are also booked by Polimi students attending the Bovisa campus in Milan, who prefer to live in Como. The residence is a 50-minute train ride from the Bovisa campus. Flats are available for professors, researchers and visiting PhDs, booked through
the Politecnico dedicated offices.

The Charter of Services is a document with which the Housing & Dining Unit of Politecnico di Milano informs users of the services made available to them within its residences.
WHO IS IT FOR
It is for all guests of the residences of Politecnico di Milano.
WHAT IS IT FOR
The Charter of Services contains, among other things, the following information:
• contact details of the Director of the structure;
• the list of common areas that can be used within the residence and the methods of access;
• the list of services available to guests and their delivery modes;
• the list of on demand services available in the structure and their methods of request;
• instructions for reporting faults and requests for intervention;
• supplementary and recreational activities organized within the structures and methods of participation/registration.

Controlla la disponibilità e prenota
Gli alloggi delle Residenze del Politecnico di Milano sono prenotabili attraverso lo sportello online del Servizio Residenze (ad eccezione degli studenti che intendono partecipare al bando di concorso del DSU). Le procedure di prenotazione aprono ogni anno a partire dal mese di Giugno. Per accedere allo sportello online del Servizio Residenze occorre utilizzare le credenziali di accesso (codice persona e password). Se non si è in possesso delle credenziali, è necessario richiederle attraverso il modulo di accreditamento.
ATTENZIONE – Se sei uno studente non ancora iscritto al Politecnico di Milano o in attesa di Visto, puoi prenotare comunque un posto alloggio. In caso di mancata iscrizione al Politecnico di Milano o mancato ottenimento del Visto, la cifra versata per la prenotazione dell’alloggio NON verrà restituita.
La residenza “Einstein” non riserva posti alloggio ad ospiti appartenenti alla categoria “tariffa piena”.
Gestione emergenza Covid-19:
Sono state pubblicate, nella sezione FAQ (n. 5): · le norme di comportamento anti-Covid da osservare all’interno delle strutture residenziali.

Se attualmente sei ospite in una delle nostre residenze potrai prenotare nelle seguenti date: dal 5/07/2021 alle ore 12:00 al 06/07/2021 alle ore 23:59 se vorrai prenotare lo stesso posto nella tua attuale residenza il giorno 08/07/2021 dalle ore 12:00 se dovrai o vorrai cambiare residenza o tipologia di stanza Se sei un futuro ospite, potrai prenotare a partire dal 12/07/2021 alle ore 12:00.
A guesthouse service for short stays is available at La presentazione residence, via Zezio 58 - Como. The basic service provides overnight accommodation only: guests cannot access the kitchen, the gym and the other services of the residence dedicated to long-term guests. It is not possible to request breakfast, nor to prepare or eat meals inside the residence. It is possible to ask the following additional services, upon payment: use of a common and equipped kitchen, use of Lecture hall (50 seats) with video, use of conference room (20 seats) with video. The technical support is not provided.

The payment is intended in advance and it is necessary to confirm the accommodation in the requested period. The payment methods will be given togheter with the confirmation of the availabiltiy of the required accommodation/s. Once the reservation procedure has been completed, no refund is expected. Possible subsequent extension of the period of stay and/or increments of the already agreed participants’ number are not guaranteed.
Regulations, damages and penalties
Guests in guestroom comply with the Regulations in force (www.residenze.polimi.it/en/regolamento/) and undertake to pay for possible damages and penalties charged on them during the stay or at the check-out. In case of bookings done by an entity, in absence of the payment done by the guest, the service will ask the for the payment to the relevant entity.

interesting tips
The house was built in the ‘700. It hides an astonishing inner cloister, which can be seen from all the windows of the rooms. A marvelous laurel tree row and a vase hiding an ancient spring well decorate the cloister. Finally an old and little church has seen light again, with its fine canvas and glass windows. The “little church” will be used for conventions and social events.
